Why Become a Member of the Health Community?
If you are interested in pursuing a future career in the health profession such as becoming a medical clinical assistant, dental hygienist, nurse, chiropractor, dentist, medical doctor or want to pursue a career in athletic sports training and care of athletes, then look no further!
Of all the communities at WHS, the Health Community is a cut above the rest! We have teachers who have specialized in areas of Medical Translation, Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Care of Athletes, Home Health Care, Holistic Medicine, CPR Training, Nursing and offer college credit classes for General Biology and Anatomy and Physiology. The Health Community is composed of students who are seeking future careers in the health profession and set the mark for excellence at Wyandotte High School. For the last 10 years, we have had the highest percentage of students graduating with the majority of our students being in the top 10 for our graduating senior classes! For instance, the number one Senior for in the Class of 2012 is a Jorge Perez, the number one Junior is Abraham Perez, and the number one sophomore is Saraswati Kharka who are all members of the Health Community.
