There is a growing epidemic of preventable youth sports injuries that are dismantling kids' athletic hopes and dreams at an early age. In response, the STOP Sports Injuries campaign was created by a coalition of organizations and corporations to help prevent athletic overuse and trauma injuries in kids. In addition, a Council of Champions has been established that includes business, sports and medical leaders to bring this message to and actively engage youth sports parents, coaches, athletes and healthcare providers. Things to keep in mind when late or absent:
                                          • ONLY parents or legal guardians can call in for students who are late or sick.
                                          • If there is a family emergency, vacation, or death out of state in which student will be gone longer than a week, the parent or guardian needs to make an appointment with Mrs. Stewart to get the days excused.
                                          • Documentation is REQUIRED for doctors, dental, court, or any other appointments if student would like the time missed excused.
                                          • There is no late call required if the student brings in documentation.
                                          • Students still need a parent or guardian to sign them out of school for any reason unless something is worked out with their Principal.
